PRIORITY ISSUE
Human capital remains a critical and pressing issue in Sabah, influencing the state’s economic growth, social development, and long-term competitiveness. Despite abundant natural resources and strategic opportunities, Sabah faces challenges in fully developing and retaining skilled talent. Gaps in education, professional training, and local workforce participation limit the state’s potential, making human capital not just an economic concern but a societal priority.

When people cannot easily reach schools, training centers, or workplaces, their ability to acquire skills, gain experience, and participate fully in the labor market is constrained.

Skills & Capacity Building
Partner with TVET institutions to provide subsidized or sponsored short courses. Bring trainers from industries for hands-on training.
Entrepreneurship & Local Business Support
Start a micro-grant program for young entrepreneurs. Provide business mentoring
Job Creation & Industry Collaboration
Partner with tourism operators to train youth as guides, crew, drivers, or hospitality staff. Engage companies to prioritize local hiring.
