BIOGRAPHY
Zulkarnain Richard, a Kadazan-Dusun Malay born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, draws inspiration from his Sabahan roots to become a catalyst for the state’s development.
Beginning his career as a drafter in his family business, he expanded his expertise into the manufacturing sector and now thrives in the Oil & Gas industry, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to driving positive change in Sabah.
BACKGROUND
He comes from a working-class family, where hard work, perseverance, and resilience were part of daily life.
Growing up in such an environment instilled in him a deep appreciation for dedication, responsibility, and the value of every opportunity. These early experiences shaped his work ethic and fueled his ambition to not only succeed professionally but also to give back to his community, using his skills and experience to create meaningful impact for others, particularly in the development of Sabah.
EDUCATION
He earned his degree in Graphic Communication from Sheffield Hallam University, where he honed his skills in creativity, design, and effective communication. He further advanced his expertise by completing a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management (MBAHM) from the International Medical University
Gaining in-depth knowledge of leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management. This blend of creative and managerial education equips him to approach challenges with both innovation and practical business insight.
